A new order is any item that has not been ordered with our company before. Example: A first time order of a postcard with an image that was previously used on an 8x10 constitutes a new order.

A reorder is a re-run of one of our products that you have ordered through our company before, using the exact same image and exact same layout. We archive your images for up to 3 years.

If you need to make any changes to the layout of a reorder you will still be charged the reorder rate, however, there will also be an additional "re-layout fee" of $15. If changes are necessary you will shortly have the opportunity to convey to us those changes required.

Through this product you will receiving superior quality prints that have a more luxurious feeling and weight. An additional benefit is the heavy weight photo paper is specially designed for printing with a photo inkjet printer. Now you can conveniently print your resume on the back of your 8x10's as needed and revise your resume at any time for future printing. You may also print messages on the back of your postcards as individual follow-ups or in quantity for larger announcement mailings.

The MasterPhoto Heavy prints are a true photographic process. Laser printers and copy machines use toner that requires an electrical charge or heat to apply the toner to the surface of the paper. This does will not work with our MasterPhoto Heavy prints. Further more with these types of machines there is risk that damage will occur to both the prints and your printer or copier. The MasterPhoto Heavy prints were designed to be used sole with an inkjet printer and are not to be used with laser printers or copy machines.

Printer Recommendations

There are many types of ink jet printers available. We are currently use the Cannon IP 3500 when printing in our office. We have found many of the big manufacturers such as Cannon and Epson make photo inkjet printers that can achieve the best results printing on the back of MasterPhoto Heavy reproductions. The photo inkjet printers tend that pull the paper straight through tend to handle the heavier weight of the paper better as it is carried trough the printer. However with the many models or brands of photo inkjets and results may vary. We recommend testing yours. Be sure the paper delivery system of your printer does not bend the prints as you will experience paper jamming. Some printers are designed to transport the paper without bending and can print up to 22 prints per minute with black ink.

Printing

When printing 8x10’s or postcards select the paper or format size and print orientation (horizontal or vertical) from your printer menu. Print some test prints first to make sure that your resumé or postcard message prints correctly before proceeding with quantity printing. Please Note: The above information is provided by Reproductions to aid you in your use of MasterPhoto Heavy 8x10’s and/or postcards. However, due to the many variables that one can encounter with computers, printers and operator skills, Reproductions can not be held responsible should you encounter any problems when printing with MasterPhoto Heavy products. Reproductions has your image if:
a. Your photographer uses our online proof sheets.
b. Your photographer, on your behalf, emailed or uploaded your image(s) directly to us.
c. You are placing a reorder.
d. You are placing an order for an image that has previously or currently been ordered with us as another product.
e. You have already ordered retouching of this image with us.

If not, you will now need to upload a high resolution file. Once again for an 8x10, it should be 300 dpi at the desired size, which is usually 6x9 inches. Do not re-size a file that is too small. You will encounter qualitative issues.

Please be sure the "Yes, Reproductions already has my image" box is unclicked if you are submitting to us a new file that we will be using for the prints you are ordering.

Each quantity ordered is for a single run and may not be split. If you need to order additional sets of prints you will have the opportunity to do so a little later on and will run through this query system again.

You can upload the file(s) for the product you are specifically ordering right now. You may submit to us high resolution jpegs or tiffs. The files should be 300 dpi at the desired size on your prints. In meeting this criteria jpegs should be larger than 1 mbs and tiffs should be larger than 8 mbs. Do not re-size files that are too small because you will still encounter qualitative issues.

If you will be ordering additional products, you will run through this query system again and have another opportunity to upload the image file associated with that product.

Do you use a stage name or use professionally a specific variation of your name?

Please type your name in the section exactly as you would like it to appear on your prints. We still need you to enter your name here even if you would like your name omitted.

Any specifics unique to your name including the omission of your name should be mentioned in the upcoming "special instructions" section.

Most often a headshot would only have your name. All the other information would be on your resume on the back. A small number of agencies do ask their clients to put there info or logo on the front. If that is the case, please enter the agency's name in the box provided.

Sometimes for postcards and business cards, clients will list their agent's contact information instead of their own. However, it is much more common for you to list your own contact information on both postcards and business cards.

Most headshot photographers do not require a photo credit, but one may be added if you so desire.

There are some photographers who do require their clients to use a photo credit. While these are images of you, under copy write law, the photographer still retains full intellectual property of these images. If it is required, it is your responsibility to mark "yes" to have the photo credit added to your 8x10.

If all you need are just the of images from your order, we can fit them on to a CD.

Most people are usually requesting this because they would like an electronic version of their headshot for emailing and posting to websites. For that reason we will also provide you with a low resolution version that will be sized better for use in such situations.

Generally we are providing you with the version that was used to set-up your headshots which will include your name. We can also provided you with a version without your name if we have performed retouching services for you or if your photographer had submitted your image directly to us.

Most photographers who send their shoots into us permit us to burn the entire session for their clients. There are a couple who do not. The size of the files from the shoots and the number of images will not fit on a CD and therefore if you would like the images from your shoot we will need to prepare a DVD.

We strongly feel that your images need to look their best and that is why Reproductions proudly offers to our clients our professional retouching services.

Reproductions retouching rates are based on the time it takes to perform the work that you require. Our experienced retouchers work efficiently. The majority of our retouching constitutes "light retouching" requests.

Reproductions offers special rates for our clients who after retouching completion, immediately place a quantity order with those same images. In addition, these special prices are available to those clients using their retouched images for online purposes only. Clients opting for only our retouching services and wanting a high-resolution image burned to disk, will be billed the regular rates as listed below. The prices listed below are a per image rate.

Through this ordering system we will be charging a deposit of $25.00 for each image being retouched. This deposit is to allocate sufficient time and availability of a retoucher and will be applied towards your final retouching fees.

Clients who schedule in-person appointments with our retouchers and need to reschedule or cancel must contact us 24 hours prior to the appointed time, to avoid forfeiture of deposit. In addition, once you have scheduled your appointment we begin color balancing and make a print for each image you are retouching. Should you change your mind after that print has made and wish to retouch another image, a $25.00 fee for the creation of the first print will occur

If you decide not to order quantities right away, but return to place an order with 10 business days, Reproductions will still extend to you the special retouching rates and credit to your quantity order the difference between Regular and Special Rates.

Reproductions takes special pride and care with your work to assure total satisfaction and success in your image presentation.

Our retouching fees are based on the amount of time spent on your work. Most requests we receive are for "light retouching". If you are opting for our retouching service now, you will be billed for the minimum possible charge which is $25.00. Once we receive your request our staff will inform you if your retouching is more involved and will incur additional charges.

There is no charge for proof prints for completed quantity orders (only applicable shipping fees). However, if you cancel your order after seeing your proof print(s) there is a $32.50 per image cancellation fee for the work that has already been completed for you.

Once we receive your order and have verified through email confirmation that all information is provided, a color proof for your order will be available the next business day. Additional time will be needed if you require retouching. Pending approval of your proofs, the completed order will be available the next business day. Orders submitted after 5PM EST will be considered part of the next business day. Faster service may be available at an additional cost. Most of our clients feel a test of a reorder is not necessary since they will be printed very close to previous printings. However, there are some variables, such as differences in the paper provided by the manufacturer, which can cause some slight variations. If you have any concerns about these possible variations we recommend that you opt to view a proof print for your reorder.

Due to the nature of color photography an exact color match to an onscreen representation or a print from another source is not possible. Reproductions will still use our expertise to properly color balance your image and provide you with high quality copies. But it is always best for you to take a final look and view a proof print.
